Enjoy Honda 2017 Part 3

Enjoy Honda 2017 in HSR Kyushu, this time focusing on four wheels.
First of all, the new NS-X is back after an absence of about 10 years.

EH17-3-1

Next is SUPER FORMULA, the ultimate form of ground-based driving.
I'm sure many people will miss the ADVAN colors.

EH17-3-2

The next CIVIC TypeR could only be seen through the glass,
It's treated as a quintessential pre-launch.

EH17-3-3

The S660 with MUGEN's aero system is a mini car, but it costs over 3 million yen.

EH17-3-4

And the highlight of the event, the NSX ride-along experience.
I went to the lottery on Saturday, but it's after 9:30 and the registration is already closed: ・・・・
By the way, the vehicles are 130R White and Berliner Black.

EH17-3-5

I came back on Sunday and went early, but there was already a long line.

EH17-3-6

After about 100 people or so, I drew the lottery and was right on target and got a slot for 12 people in the morning.

EH17-3-7

When the time came, I headed to the pit and was led to Berlina Black.

EH17-3-8

When I got into the car, Matsuura from Epson-Nakajima was waiting for me.

EH17-3-9

After a brief exchange of greetings, it was time to hit the course.
At the start of the race, the car was driven only by the motor, and as expected of HYBRID.
It is extremely quiet. The sound of the 3.5L V6 can be heard when you step on the accelerator pedal.
It plays and is a wonderful acceleration.

EH17-3-10

The main straight and the 1st and 2nd corners, the back straight and the 65R, 40R compound corner.
I asked the driver to run at a reasonable speed. As expected of SH-AWD, it was very stable.
As for acceleration, I drive a liter SS on a daily basis, but for a long time it was as if my brain was being left behind.

EH17-3-11

The approximately two-lap ride-along experience comes to an end.

EH17-3-12

I bid farewell to Matsuura and leave NSX.

EH17-3-13

We were lucky to have a ride-along experience with a professional driver this time.
Hopefully, I would like to experience the real mode at least once.

I'll be back later (probably for the last time) with the rest of the event details. See you soon....

Blue Impulse

4/23(Sun) Kumamoto Flying Festival

The Blue Impulse of the Air Self-Defense Force came to Kumamoto.

The last time this species flew to Kumamoto was in 2007 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the construction of Kumamoto Castle, so it has been about 10 years since its last visit.

On the day of the show, the sky was clear and cloudless! Cars and trains were crowded in the city to catch a glimpse of the air show, which is not often seen.

We are scheduled to start around 11:00, and it's already 11:20...yet, hmmm...?

It's here! It's really here!

It was a 20-minute display flight, but I was impressed by its beautiful and controlled flight.

Since I usually see only passenger planes that fly only a fixed route, I was impressed that airplanes can fly so freely like dolphins!

While watching the performance, I also thought somewhat about peace and contingency....

Come to think of it, the Matsushima base where the Blue Impulse is located was also damaged by the tsunami after the earthquake, and it took a year for them to return.

It has been exactly one year since the earthquake in Kumamoto. Sometimes I still feel shaken by the earthquake, but I want to look forward and upward.

See you soon!

Enjoy Honda 2017 Part 2

Enjoy Honda 2017 in HSR Kyushu
There were quite a few visitors over the two days of Saturday and Sunday.
It is hard to walk, especially on Sundays.

EH17-2-1

This time, we will focus on two wheels.
The pre-release CBR250RR and X-ADV are displayed on a dais for special treatment.

EH17-2-2

EH17-2-3

The Rebe250/500, released on 4/17, seems to be made for easy handling.
I wonder if we can expect to see a derivative model developed...

EH17-2-4

I couldn't even touch the RC213V-S last year.
This year, I was not able to climb over and start the engine, but I was able to turn the key on.
There was even a staff commentary on the meter opening screen.
Unfortunately, the off-road was an all-Japan champion machine, but its popularity was nowhere near as high as it should have been.

EH17-2-5

In the motorcycle exhibition area, there were CRF250 RALLY, CBR1000RR, CB1100RS, etc. just after their release.
It seems to be a hit with women and children (the little ones have big smiles on their faces).

EH17-2-6

EH17-2-12

We also hold motorcycle test-ride events where you can test ride the latest vehicles.

EH17-2-7

This is the face of the test drive vehicle.

EH17-2-8

I would like to see a test ride session, and if I had my way, I would like it to be held on a circuit course.

EH17-2-9

The senior staff member of "Bak-ON! and it was a rare collaboration with HONDA.

EH17-2-10

Shigemi Nobutoki, well-known for his work on MOTORISE, also visited the exhibition.
The contrast between SPA Naoiri GIRL and Raimu Senpai was surreal.

EH17-2-11

The rest of the event details will follow later. See you soon....

Furikake Grand Prix 2017

I went to the Furikake Grand Prix 2017.

FG-1

This event will be held at the Hanabatake Plaza/New Town Arcade.

FG-2

There are various theories, but Kumamoto is considered to be the birthplace of furikake.
Companies from all over the country come together to sample a variety of items at one time.

FG-3

To sample furikake, purchase a pack of rice for ¥200 at the rice sales counter.
You will also receive a voting ticket and a gara-pon lottery ticket together.

FG-4

After purchasing, go around to each booth and ask for sprinkles.

FG-5
(I tried to pour many things at once and the flavors got mixed up and I couldn't tell which company was which.)

After the tasting, we will head to the voting and drawing.

FG-6
(I'll settle for the standard stuff, in my opinion.)

Here are today's loot (purchased and sample items of various kinds).

FG-7

The weather was a bit sweaty, reminiscent of early summer.
The scars from the earthquake are less noticeable in the center of Kumamoto, and the event is a lively event.
Enjoy Honda content is still being edited. See you soon.

Enjoy Honda 2017 Part 1

I went to Enjoy Honda 2017 in HSR Kyushu.

The Kyushu event was held at HSR Kyushu, located adjacent to the Honda R&D Kumamoto Plant in Kumamoto Prefecture.
This year will be the first major event since the earthquake.

EH17-OP-1

This time, the temperature has not yet risen and the cherry blossoms are only 2 to 3 minutes in bloom.

EH17-OP-2

It was chilly first thing in the morning, but there was quite a crowd.
It's been a year since the earthquake, and everyone seems to have been looking forward to it.

EH17-OP-3

This is an event where visitors can experience the technical capabilities of ALL Honda, regardless of whether it is a two-wheeled or four-wheeled vehicle.
The details of the event will be announced later. See you then...
