I went to the Furikake Grand Prix 2017.

This event will be held at the Hanabatake Plaza/New Town Arcade.

There are various theories, but Kumamoto is considered to be the birthplace of furikake.
Companies from all over the country come together to sample a variety of items at one time.

To sample furikake, purchase a pack of rice for ￥200 at the rice sales counter.
You will also receive a voting ticket and a gara-pon lottery ticket together.

After purchasing, go around to each booth and ask for sprinkles.

(I tried to pour many things at once and the flavors got mixed up and I couldn't tell which company was which.)

After the tasting, we will head to the voting and drawing.

(I'll settle for the standard stuff, in my opinion.)

The weather was a bit sweaty, reminiscent of early summer.
The scars from the earthquake are less noticeable in the center of Kumamoto, and the event is a lively event.
